This is my 24th year as an English teacher.
Now, before you try to do the math to figure out how old that makes me, I'm 25.
Or at least, my husband, Eric, says I don't *look* like I'm a day over 25, and that, my friends, is why I've been married to that smart, smart man for 24 years. We have 2 kids, Anna (15) and William (13), and recently purchased my childhood home. (And because it LOOKS like the house I grew up in, we've been renovating for 11 years and counting.)
I dappled in higher education and human resources management before becoming a high school teacher, and I feel blessed to have stumbled into something that I absolutely love. Each year begins with a new-found excitement to share what I've learned with my students, as well as to learn what my students have to share with me!
I’m a tech-loving, high school English teacher out to woo my students back to bibliophilia through authentic, real-world tasks. Even with two decades of teaching under my belt, there’s so much left to learn.
